OUTDOOR PUBLICITY TO FLAG OFF WELCOME BACK RAVE 2.0 AT MAIN CAMPUS

The much-anticipated WELCOME BACK RAVE 2.0 will officially kick off with a vibrant outdoor publicity campaign to be held at the Main Campus at exactly 12:00PM on Monday, 16th February .

According to the SUG Director of Socials, Comr. Favour Bekekeme, the activation is designed to build anticipation and student engagement, drawing attention from across faculties as organizers will aim to intensify awareness ahead of the major social event on Friday, 27th March.
Branded vehicles, banners, music, and coordinated mobilization teams will be moved strategically around campus, creating a buzz that signals the return of one of the institution’s biggest social gatherings.
In the first edition held last year, Students described the atmosphere as energetic and refreshing, noting that the rave represents more than entertainment — it symbolizes reunion, relaxation, and renewed campus spirit.
Organizers assured students that logistics, security, and crowd coordination have been carefully structured to ensure a safe and memorable experience for all attendees.
MINISTRY OF JUSTICE: SUG PRESIDENT NOMINATES BOLOU-EBI PRAISE DAVID AS NEW ATTORNEY GENERAL (AG)

In a significant administrative move, the SUG President of Niger Delta University, Comr. David Daudoukumor Patrick has nominated Bolou-ebi Praise David to serve as Attorney General of the Student Union Government and Head of the Union's Ministry of Justice.
The nomination, which has generated conversations across the student political space, is part of the broader effort to constitute a functional and effective executive arm of the Student Union Government. The Attorney General role is central to ensuring legal guidance, constitutional compliance, and judicial coordination within the SUG structure.

Sources within the union confirm that the nomination will proceed to the legislative arm for screening and confirmation in accordance with established parliamentary procedures. If approved, the nominee will oversee legal advisory responsibilities and help strengthen institutional governance within the union.
NDUMSA SET TO HOST POOL PARTY 1.0 ON SATURDAY, 21ST FEBRUARY

The Niger Delta University Medical Students’ Association (NDUMSA), under the leadership of Comr. Smart Kelvin, has announced plans to host POOL PARTY 1.0 on Saturday, 21st February.
The event is designed as a relaxation and bonding session for medical students and invited guests.

According to organizers, the gathering will provide an opportunity for social interaction outside academic environments while maintaining structured coordination and safety measures.
Students have expressed enthusiasm, describing the initiative as timely and necessary following academic pressures. NDUMSA leadership emphasized that the event aligns with its broader objective of promoting unity and well-being among members.
SUG ANNOUNCES APPROVED INTERSTATE AND INTRASTATE TRAVEL ROUTES – SUG DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORT

In preparation for students returning to campus, the SUG Director of Transport, Comr. Destiny Okiemio has officially released approved interstate and intrastate travel routes, terminals, and fares.
The initiative aims to ensure safe, affordable, and coordinated transportation for students traveling from various parts of the country.

IMAFIDON VS PERU: DEAN OF STUDENT AFFAIRS INTERVENES, SUSPENDS FABAMSSA ELECTIONS

The ongoing political contest between Victoria Imafidon and Anointed Peru in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences Students’ Association (FABAMSSA) has taken a new turn as the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Bernard Stephen intervened and announced the suspension of the electoral process.

The decision reportedly followed rising tensions on Friday after reports of Anionted Peru being announced as the winner of the Presidential election by Electoral Committee.
The suspension aims to restore order, ensure fairness, and allow for investigations on allegations of election rigging
Observers note that the intervention may reshape the political dynamics within the faculty, as both camps recalibrate strategies while awaiting official school management directives on the next course of action.
FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (FASSA) INAUGURATES NEWLY ELECTED EXECUTIVES AND LEGISLATORS
