The Niger Delta University (NDU) Students’ Union Government (SUG) has announced updated travel fares for both intra-state and inter-state trips from Amassoma, with a view to making movement more convenient and affordable for students and residents.
Intra-State Travel (From Amassoma):
1. Yenagoa – ₦1,000
2. Sagbama (via Odi, Asampuo) – ₦3,000
3. Ekeremor (Angalabiri, Bolu Rua) – ₦4,500
4. Ogbia – ₦4,500
5. Nembe (Ogbolomabiri & Bassambiri) – ₦4,500
Inter-State Travel (From Amassoma)
1. Port Harcourt (Rumouokoro Park) – ₦5,500
2. Warri (Airport Junction) – ₦6,000
3. Ughelli (Otovwodo Junction) – ₦6,000
4. Asaba (Koka Roundabout) – ₦13,000
5. Benin (Ring Road) – ₦11,500
6. Owerri (Control Roundabout) – ₦6,500
7. Aba (Old Park) – ₦8,000
8. Onitsha (Opp. Park, Upper Iweka) – ₦7,500
9. Nnewi (Opp. Peace Mass Park) – ₦7,500
10. Lagos (Berger – Ojota – Cele – Mile 2) – ₦30,000
11. Ijebu Ode – ₦30,000
12. Ibadan – ₦30,000
13. Ondo – ₦30,000

Meanwhile, the University community is also reminded that there is a designated NDU Park beside the Works and Services Unit, where vehicles load daily from Amassoma to Yenagoa at a standard fare of ₦1,000 only.
This initiative underscores the Union’s commitment to easing student mobility and reducing transportation challenges within and outside Bayelsa State.
