FABAMSSA ELECTION 2026: VICTORIA IMAFIDON SECURES LANDSLIDE VICTORY, EMERGES PRESIDENT WITH 42 VOTES

The Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences Students’ Association (FABAMSSA) has ushered in a new era of leadership following the emergence of Victoria Imafidon as President in the just-concluded faculty elections.
In a closely watched contest, Victoria polled 42 votes to defeat her opponent, Anionted Peru, securing a decisive mandate from students of the faculty. The election process, which was conducted under the supervision of the faculty electoral body, was described by observers as peaceful, organized, and reflective of the growing democratic culture within the student community.
A Campaign Built on Reform and Representation
Throughout her campaign, Victoria emphasized transparency, inclusivity, and improved academic representation.
Her manifesto highlighted key focus areas including:
Strengthening communication between students and faculty authorities, advocating for improved academic scheduling and practical sessions, enhancing welfare structures for students, Promoting unity across departments within Basic Medical Sciences.
Students who spoke to NDU Parrot expressed optimism that her leadership would bring renewed energy and accountability to FABAMSSA governance.
In her speech, the President-elect thanked supporters and pledged to serve all students regardless of political alignment. She stated:
“This victory is not mine alone; it belongs to every student who believes in progress, unity, and purposeful representation.”
Expectations are high as students anticipate swift implementation of campaign promises.
SUG SENATE 2ND ASSEMBLY SET FOR STRATEGIC PLENARY SESSION AT LH2

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) Senate led by Dist. Sen. Godspower Morocco has announced that its Second Assembly will convene a plenary session on Saturday at Lecture Hall 2 (LH2), Main Campus.
The upcoming plenary is expected to address key issues affecting students, including welfare concerns, campus infrastructure, and policy proposals currently under review.
Sources within the Senate indicate that discussions may cover: Review of ongoing student-oriented projects, Budget considerations and financial transparency, Inter-faculty collaboration initiatives
Strengthening legislative oversight within the union.
Political analysts within the university community note that this session could shape the direction of SUG policies for the remainder of the academic session.
Stakeholders are hopeful that resolutions reached during deliberations will translate into practical improvements across campus.
UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY CELEBRATES DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR (ADMINISTRATION) ON HIS BIRTHDAY

OUTGOING FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE (NAAS) PRESIDENT TO COMMISSION “FOUR RIGHT-ANGLE SIT-OUT” PROJECT

SUG SECRETARY GENERAL, ENGTECH MEDIA UNVEIL TECH EXPO 2026

The Office of the SUG Secretary General, Comr. Albert Howells in collaboration with EngTech Media, has officially launched Tech Expo 2026 — a fully funded three-month digital skills workshop targeted at undergraduates and graduates.
The initiative aims to bridge the digital knowledge gap and equip students with market-relevant skills in an increasingly technology-driven economy.
