In a bold and inspiring move that has stirred excitement across the Niger Delta University community, the Chief Executive Officer of NDU Pulse TV, Comr. Prince Iniobong, has now confirmed his intention to contest for the position of Public Relations Officer (PRO) in the upcoming Niger Delta University Students’ Union Government (SUG) Elections.
The announcement, which has already generated wide discussions both on and off campus, comes as no surprise to many who have followed Prince Iniobong’s impressive journey in student leadership, media, and campus development. Known popularly as Mr. Pulse, the young media entrepreneur and campus journalist has built a solid reputation for excellence, innovation, and credible communication through his platform, NDU Pulse TV — one of the fastest-growing student-led media outlets in the Niger Delta region.
According to reports, Prince Iniobong’s decision to join the SUG race stems from his deep passion for transparent communication, student engagement, and effective information management. In his words:
“My mission is simple — to redefine communication between the students and their government. I want to build a bridge of trust, openness, and accessibility. The students deserve a PRO who truly represents their voice.”

Over the months, Prince Iniobong has been a key figure in promoting student activities, documenting campus events, and giving visibility to student achievements through journalism and public engagement. His media initiative, Pulse TV, has also been instrumental in promoting NDU’s image beyond campus borders, earning him respect among students and staff alike.
Reacting to his declaration, several students described his aspiration as a “perfect fit,” citing his communication skills, leadership qualities, and media experience as strong advantages that position him for the role.
As the NDU SUG election season heats up, one thing is certain — Mr. Pulse has entered the race with vision, experience, and a deep understanding of what effective communication can achieve in student leadership.
