The S.U. Director of Welfare of Bayelsa Medical University, Oghenero Divine was summoned by the Senate in December over a petition filed by the SU President against him.

The notice was late, and according to him he was taken by surprise.
The Senate read the petition, alleging misconduct, incitement of violence, and defamation of character against the Director of Welfare.
According to him, he denied the allegations, explaining that he didn't personalize messages or incite violence on his channel - ENN
The Senate showed some 'proofs', insinuating he, the Director of Welfare implied the S.U. President follows men for money.
Comr. Oghenero accepted that claim by stating to the Senate that "We all need a man for money and it could be regardless of male or female".
The Senate informed him of their intentions to carry out investigations and to get back to him as at when due.
According to him while speaking to NDU PULSE TV, he said
"I didn't hear or get feedback from the Senate. Instead, all I got was a suspension letter citing a second petition of which I wasn't informed about. This doesn't follow BMU's constitutional process for suspending an executive. I feel it's unfair and a witch-hunt.
Mr. Pulse has slammed the S.U. Senate for its unconstitutional suspension and further laid emphasis on personal grudges being a cankerworm in student politics.
"BMU SU is still in its infantry, Let's act matured with certain decisions. I was told the first person to be in this same scenario was the Secretary General now it's the Director of Welfare under fire. I'm only involving myself in this matter because the Director of Welfare in question is my friend and I can vouch for his character. We are both media personalities and in democracy, the Congress decide better. However, Victoria Ascerta" - Mr. Pulse said.
