Comr. Fresh Ebi Ebibokumor has been officially sworn in as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Niger Delta University Students’ Union Government (SUG), marking a new chapter in the Union’s communication and public engagement.

The swearing-in ceremony, which took place amid members of the students’ leadership and the wider students’ community, follows growing calls for effective and strategic information management within the SUG. Observers have noted that the office has lacked strong leadership since 2023/2024 under Desmond Ehifonria.

Reacting to the development, Mr. Pulse described the inauguration as timely and significant.

“Fresh Ebibokumor is the competent SUG PRO we’ve been missing since 2024,” he stated.

With his assumption of office, expectations are high that the SUG will experience improved transparency, timely dissemination of information, and a more vibrant relationship between the Union and the students it represents.

Students and stakeholders alike have expressed optimism that Ebibokumor’s tenure will strengthen the image of the SUG and restore confidence in its public communication.
