The Vice Chancellor of Niger Delta University, Prof. Allen Agih, Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Prof. Tonbrapagha Kingdom and the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Prof. Jonah Akekere all gave their resounding approval to the first finger of the project - The Shade For You Initiative.
This initiative, powered by the Office of the SUG Director of Welfare, is designed to provide approximately 500 - 1,000 students with portable umbrellas as a shared welfare resource, ensuring they are able to boycott the ever-unpredictable Amassoma weather and still meet up Whatever, Wherever, and Whenever.
Speaking on the project, the SUG Director of Welfare, Comr. Friday Tamaraubideke Bobo, who was accompanied by his Chief of Staff/Director General of Pulse Television, Comr. Prince Iniobong reaffirmed his commitment to making student welfare a top priority throughout the tenure.
Speaking during the endorsement, the University Management commended the SUG Director of Welfare for aligning welfare-driven projects with the institutionβs broader vision of student development and comfort.
The Shade For You Initiative marks the beginning of a series of welfare-centered projects under the Project Five Agenda, reflecting the proactive leadership of the current welfare administration.
