SUG–NDU Lifts Suspension on FABAMSSA Elections, Issues Fresh Directives for Credible Poll
The Students’ Union Government of Niger Delta University (SUG–NDU) has officially lifted the suspension placed on the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences Students’ Association (FABAMSSA) electoral process. The decision followed reviews and resolutions reached by the SUG-NDU Executives in line with the Union’s constitution and electoral guidelines.
The Union directed that the original electoral committee should continue the process, reinstate wrongly disqualified candidates, and reconstitute its leadership with a new chairman. The electoral process is expected to recommence within 72 hours, with SUG–NDU retaining full supervisory oversight to ensure transparency, peace, and credibility.

A student leader, Tamaratare Apere, has emerged as a contender for the position of Deputy Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Zone B, South-South. His aspiration has drawn attention across the zone as campaigns intensify ahead of the forthcoming NANS zonal elections.
Apere’s bid is focused on student representation, advocacy, and strengthening unity among institutions within the South-South region, as he seeks the support of stakeholders and student leaders across the zone.

Sales of Nomination Forms Ongoing for Faculty of Agriculture (NAAS) Elections
The NAAS Electoral Committee has announced the commencement of sales of nomination forms for the Faculty of Agriculture elections under the National Association of Agricultural Students (NAAS). Interested aspirants have been advised to obtain their forms within the stipulated period.
The electoral process is expected to produce new faculty leaders who will represent and advance the interests of Agriculture students in line with union guidelines.
